CLASSROOM SNACKS AND TREATS

Our students love the challah! We provided challah for a classroom snack with vegan and gluten-free options for students who need them. To cut down on sugar, we switched our drink from juice to water. Sometimes we have special treats in the classroom to enhance a lesson such as rewards for games. We always provide organic treats without processed sugar, such as fruit or popcorn.

HOLIDAY FOOD

Food is an essential way we connect with culture. On Jewish holidays we join the festivities by providing our students with traditional foods like hamantashen cookies for Purim, latkes and jelly doughnuts for Hanukkah, matzah for Passover, and pasta or other chametz to break the Passover fast. Throughout the year we offer healthy home-cooked dinners to accompany our Religious school Friday Night Shabbat celebrations.
