Isaians Helping Isaians: Talk Saves Lives

Talk Saves Lives is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's standardized education program that provides participants with a clear understanding of this leading cause of death, including the most up-to-date research on suicide prevention, and what individuals can do in their own communities to help save lives.Participants will learn about the common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide, and how to keep themselves and others safe. This event it co-sponsored by Isaiah Women.
Our co-presenters will be:
Natalya (Natasha) Bogopolskaya, PsyD (a Temple Isaiah congregant) who is a practicing school psychologist in Los Angeles, specializing in psycho-educational assessments, counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation. She currently works with children from low-income communities in grades pre-kindergarten through sixth. Dr. Bogopolskaya is also a board member of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Greater Los Angeles County Chapter.;
Jeanette Zollinger who has volunteered with AFSP in various capacities since 2014 and is currently serving as the co-chair for the AFSP-Greater Los Angeles & Central Coast Chapter. Jeanette lost her oldest brother Jason to suicide in 1985, and finds great comfort and healing within the AFSP family. She has a spouse and three sons who she adores, and loves to hike with her German Shepherd Maya as her favorite form of self care.
