Following services, join us for an inspiring conversation with Jeffrey Glaser (Temple Isaiah member) and David Mayer, two of the founders of Reparation Generation, an interracial movement that reckons with America’s past. More than 150 years after emancipation, structural racism continues to drive inequality and harm our society. Today, the Black-White wealth gap is as vast as it was in 1968. Black Americans continue to face discrimination in the workplace, receive lower average wages than white Americans, and have fewer assets and savings to weather economic crises.
