An 8-Week "Edu-tainment" Course Taught by Music Historian Cary Ginell.
In this course, we will explore how the folk music boom of the 1950s and ‘60s occurred and how it was absorbed into American popular culture. Music is a product of its times, and folk music definitely ascribed to that. We will trace the development of folk music in the 20th century that led to its rise in the 1950s and its reflection of American history and social development.
Fee: $52 for all 8 classes, or $8 per class

This will be the 4th of the Temple Isaiah Green Team series where we are looking at climate change as a symptom, seeking a better understanding of the root causes of this “illness,” and, how we all can advance immediate and long term curative strategies.
