Join TIYP for the hottest Hanukkah event of the year – literally! Joined by clergy capsaicin connoisseurs, Cantor Randall Schloss and Rabbi Adam Allenberg, we will experience the finest hot sauces and test your heat tolerance. A highlight of the Hanukkah season, this Temple Isaiah multigenerational event is inspired by the popular YouTube series Hot Ones and will include 10 of their delicious but increasingly spicier flavors from Season 28. In the spirit of Hanukkah, we will skip the chicken wings and instead use latkes as our SDV – spice delivery vehicle.
This year, the event will include a new twist: answering questions, solving puzzles and riddles, and more to progress up the Scoville scale of spice. Only once the heat is too hot to handle, will remedies be provided to quench the fiery flames of our feast.
Note: if you do not want to participate in consuming the hot sauces but want to come to the event to provide moral support, that’s cool! We’ll have a “spectator section” for you to enjoy.
