LA Hotel Workers’ Strike: What It Means to Us, What It Means to Our City

Thu, Jan 18 - 07:30 PM

Join us on Thursday, January 18 (7:30 pm) for a special zoom presentation and Q&A with Pastor Bridie Roberts and workers from UNITE HERE Local 11 as we learn about one of the the largest (and still ongoing) hotel workers’ strike in US history.  Pastor Roberts is the Community Organizing Director of UNITE HERE Local 11 as well as the Associate Pastor of Hollywood United Methodist Church.

The program, co-moderated by Rabbi Zoe Klein-Miles and Social Justice Vice-President Brit Finney-Conlon, will give us new insights into this historic strike – and how we can understand it in light of our congregation’s deep commitments to social justice.
