We will look at Jewish poetry written in response to October 7, mostly by Israelis. We will also look at poems written prior to October 7 by people who were slain or taken hostage on that day. Together we will discuss the role poetry plays in Jewish memory and in helping shape our vision for the future. This is offered as part of the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles’ Elul Month of Learning program in which different synagogues around Los Angeles offer programs open to West-LA Jews.
