Fri, Jun 07 - 06:15 PMJoin us on Friday evening, June 7 as we celebrate Pride Shabbat and welcome special guest, Cantorial Soloist Raymond Zachary. Raymond, a classically trained countertenor currently located in East L.A will bring their program, Rainbow Shabbat, which they presented in synagogues all across the country. This shabbaton encourages LGBTQIA+ shul goers not only to feel comfortable as a “Jew-in-the-pew” but serves as an outreach program to say that their community encourages them to take leadership positions on boards, committees, and even as clergy. It also provides synagogues with tools and resources to create safe and accepting spaces for congregants who identify within the LGBTQIA+ community.
