Canvassing to Combat Voter Suppression in Bakersfield

Canvassing to Combat Voter Suppression in Bakersfield

In partnership with the Dolores Huerta Foundation, join Rabbi Lisa Berney and Jews across Southern California for a day-long canvassing trip to Bakersfield. We will gather at Leo Baeck Temple (LBT) at 9:30 a.m. and caravan in rented vans to Bakersfield, where we will have lunch and participate in training before spending the afternoon knocking on doors to encourage voters to Vote No on Proposition 39, a statewide voter suppression ballot measure. After canvassing, we will debrief as a group before hitting the road around 5 and plan to return to LBT around 7 pm. Cost of $50/person covers transportation, lunch, and snacks.
