Omer Wenkert was kidnapped by Hamas during the October 7, 2023 attack at the Nova Music Festival. He was held captive in Gaza for 505 days, alongside Evyatar David and Guy Gilboa-Dalal, enduring extreme physical and psychological abuse under inhumane conditions.
In February 2025, Omer was released with Eliya Cohen, Tal Shoham, and Omer Shem Tov. Since his return, Omer has spoken with striking honesty about what he experienced in captivity — the violence, deprivation, and terror — and about the moral responsibility to bear witness.
Omer’s voice is raw, immediate, and essential — a reminder of the human cost of October 7 and the urgency of confronting the truth of what occurred.
