Politics Through the Lens of Hope and Oneg

Our guest will be Robert Hubbell, a former lawyer who writes about current political issues and policies. He is the author of Today’s Edition, a popular daily newsletter on Substack with as many as 80,000 readers.
His first issue appeared in January, 2017. “It was my effort (as a father and husband) to provide hope and perspective to my family after the unexpected results of the 2016 election,” says Robert. “Over time, my family email was shared among friends and became a community of like-minded citizens devoted to preserving American democracy.”
Robert will speak about the genesis of his newsletter and why readers — often worried about our political environment — are drawn to his calm and thoughtful analysis of the day’s events.
This will be a bring-your-own-dinner event, with of course, our own delicious oneg treats.
