Join us for Shabbat! We warmly welcome you to return to the Temple Isaiah for prayer, song & community on Friday evening. We look forward to welcoming Shabbat with you! You must RSVP to attend services in person.
During our 6:15 Shabbat services, we are honored to be welcoming members of Sharaka to speak with our community.
Sharaka (which means ‘partnership’ in Arabic) is an organization working to shape a new Middle East, built on dialogue, understanding, cooperation and friendship. A delegation of Sharaka activists will join us to share their critical work which has intensified since the horrific October 7 attack, creating a space for dialogue and understanding between young Israelis and Arabs. The dynamic delegation will bring nuanced perspectives straight from the region, aiming to inform, reduce polarization, and encourage dialogue. Speakers will include Sharaka’s Executive Director Dan Feferman (Israel), political consultant Dr. Ahmed Khuzaie (Bahrain), peace ambassador Fatema Al Harbi (Bahrain), activist Youssef Elazhari (Morocco) who founded a non-profit project working to prevent girls from dropping out of school across Africa, and Christian Lebanese-Israeli activist Maryam Younnes (Israel).
