Shabbchella

Friday, November 8 | Temple Isaiah Campus

Shabbchella (a hybrid of "Shabbat" and "Coachella") is a modern celebration of Kabbalat Shabbat set to the tunes of beloved pop songs and recording artists. Join us for a Shabbat experience that’s a little bit rock & roll, a little bit musical theater, a little bit “music festival” and a whole lot accessible, inclusive, engaging and fun. All ages and life stages warmly welcome.

Festival Activities Part I: 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

This includes dinner, face painting, flower crown making, kid yoga & a beer garden (with live DJ) for adults. These festival activities are best for children ages 2-8.

Traditional Shabbat Service including Mourner's Kaddish: 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in Library

Prayer Experience: 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Sanctuary

Our prayer experience will be set to secular pop and rock & roll music.

Festival Activities Part II: 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This includes “L’chayim with the Clergy” - studying Torah over fine wine, a Magical Healing Soundbath Concert (best for ages 5 and up) and a continued beer garden/live DJ.
We will have indoor childcare available for adults who wish to participate in one of these activities sans kiddos.

DEADLINE TO RSVP: Wednesday, November 6 at 5:00 p.m.
