Voter Engagement
MISSION: VOTER EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY
We present candidate forums, webinars on California’s ballot propositions, and conversations with distinguished experts on topics related to politics, legislation and policy. Recent programs focused on voter suppression, gerrymandering, hate speech/antisemitism and disinformation in the media.
We provide call-to-action opportunities for members wishing to become more politically engaged, including:
- – Lobbying elected officials on issues of importance to the Reform Jewish community.
- – Participating in Temple Isaiah’s Every Voice, Every Vote postcarding, phone banking and texting campaigns with the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism and Center for Common Ground.
- – Registering voters.
- – Supporting activities and events that are timely, important to voters, and consistent with values of tikkun olam.
