Yom Kippur Eve/Kol Nidrei | 7:30pm - 9:30pm at UCLA Royce Hall

Our clergy, singers and instrumentalists help us prepare for the ultimate day of the High Holy Days. This most solemn day of the Jewish year begins with the seminal, sacred music of Kol Nidrei, and features words and music of self-reflection, repentance, and renewal.

Monday, September 25 - Yom Kippur

Morning Service for Young(ish) Families | 9:30a.m. - 10:00a.m. at UCLA Royce Hall Terrace

Our clergy, songleaders and our Pop-up Choir will lead an engaging and age-appropriate service for families with young(ish) children (0-8).

Morning Childcare | 10:00a.m. - 12:30p.m. at UCLA Royce Hall

Childcare will be available for children ages 2-6 following the Young(ish) Families Service until the end of the Main Rosh Hashanah Service (~12-12:30pm). Childcare registration is now closed. No sign-ups at the door.

Morning Service | 10:00a.m. - 12:30p.m. at UCLA Royce Hall

As on Rosh Hashanah, our clergy, choir, and band will lead us with powerful and sacred words and music, inviting us to continue the meaningful process of T’shuvah, reflection and repentance. This service will also feature the voices of our community and chanting of Torah. Separate Youth Services and Teen Services will be held for 2nd-6th graders and 7th-12th graders respectively (see below).

Youth Service (2nd-6th Grade) | 10:30a.m. – 11:30a.m. at UCLA Royce Hall Terrace

Afternoon Speaker – Sue Dunlap, Head of Planned Parenthood of LA | 1:00p.m. to 2:30p.m. at UCLA Royce Hall

Join us for a Temple Isaiah tradition of welcoming featured speakers to talk about current events, Jewish values, and our renewed commitment to building a more just and equitable world. Read more about Sue Dunlap. Sue Dunlap, President & CEO of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles (PPLA), will discuss the current state of reproductive health and what she sees on the horizon. Her emphasis will be on the work of PPLA and Planned Parenthood’s across California to respond to this historical moment.

Yom Kippur Yoga  | 2:00p.m. to 2:45p.m. at UCLA Royce Hall West Lobby

Join Rabbis Klein Miles and Cohen for Yoga, reflection and meditation on this sacred afternoon.

Minchah | 3:00p.m. - 4:00p.m. at UCLA Royce Hall

Join us for a brief, interactive service and discussion and the reading of the Book of Jonah.

Yizkor | 4:00p.m. - 5:00p.m. at UCLA Royce Hall

Perhaps Judaism’s most powerful moments are found in the communal blessings and music of memory. Amid a day of self-reflection, we take time to honor the memories of those we have lost and to reflect on grief. Families with young children will be welcomed back to the Sanctuary prior to the start of N’ilah.

N'ilah | 5:00p.m. - 6:15p.m. at UCLA Royce Hall

The gates do not close and the Book of Life is not sealed until the sun sets on Yom Kippur. This holiest of days concludes with this uplifting and joyful service—a perfect way to end the day before breaking the fast.
