Accompanied by drinks & noshes, Antonia will present her solo comedy show, one honed over decades of experience in all sorts of weird, wild and wonderful Jewish communities. Antonia identifies as a “queer Jewish comedian / actor / hot person based in LA.” She’s best known for her viral TikToks about Jewish life as well as her solo shows "Post Traumatic Super Delightful" and "God Box." A member of multiple UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade) character house teams, she recently received the prestigious Mandel Fellowship for her Jewish standup comedy. Grab your bell bottoms, flash a peace sign, and get ready because Stephen Wise Temple’s Purim Carnival is returning on, and this time, it’s going back, back in time to the ’60s.As Stephen Wise Temple turns 60, what better way to celebrate it, than going back to the year it was born, 1964! We’ll have exciting unlimited amusement park rides, catered food, carnival games, fantastic prizes, our trademark Ferris wheel, an appearance by the Beat Buds, and so much more! It’s gonna be Groovy! This Purim morning at Mishkon includes a family-friendly reading of the Megillah with music, as well as yelling “boo!” and shaking groggers whenever Haman’s name is mentioned. So partake in the religious observance of dressing up to enjoy a costume parade with prizes, loads of fun games and activities including a bounce house, and face painting, to fulfill the tradition of wearing masks, hiding our identity – or revealing our true identity.
