Temple Isaiah's

Business Networking Group

Temple Isaiah Business Networking Group (TING) was founded in 2005 by members of Temple Isaiah to help and support Jewish business professionals. We create an environment in which success flows from high ethical standards, devotion to the best interests of clients, and sharing resources and knowledge, with fellow members. Many people within our Temple and within the surrounding community have businesses that serve people in our community. Temple Isaiah’s Networking Group brings together our lawyers, investment professionals, insurance professionals, CPAs, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, owners of home healthcare agencies, personal trainers, travel agents, college prep tutors, IT professionals and so many more to get to know one another with the goal of referring good contacts and potential clients to one another. By helping one another improve our businesses, we are helping to improve the well-being of our community.

WHO MAKES A GOOD TING MEMBER

For TING to be successful, members must have these characteristics:

  • Willingness to assist fellow members
  • Commitment to attend monthly meetings and build relationships
  • Authority to refer and to act on referrals
  • Personal integrity and responsiveness toward fellow members

WHAT DOES A MEETING CONSIST OF?

The meeting consists of:

  • An invocation by the Temple’s Rabbi
  • Success stories from people in the group that have used other’s services
  • 15–20 minute presentation by the featured speaker
  • brief introduction of each person attending, also knows as an “elevator speech”. This introduction should not last more than 1 minute, and should convey who you are, and what you do — perhaps with an example that will help people understand how they can help you grow your business.
  • Needs, deals or wants within the group
  • An assignment of “troikas” (a small group of three who meet to foster deeper relationships between members — bring calendars!)

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

We meet on the THIRD TUESDAY of each month at 8:00 a.m. in the Temple Isaiah Social Hall, and guests are welcome. We hope that you will come visit one of our meetings.

Also, please use our membership directory when you need professional help or services. Breakfast and networking begin promptly at 8:00 a.m., and the meeting gets underway at 8:20 a.m.

  • A recommendation from a Temple Isaiah member
  • Must meet in person with one member of the Executive Committee to review suitability of membership
