Elul
The High Holy Days don’t just happen. We need to prepare to create a meaningful High Holy Day experience. This instruction seems like it may be intended for clergy, but it’s really for all of us. We prepare so that we are ready for the Days of Awe—so that we are ready to truly practice t’shuvah (repentance and return). We prepare so that we might fully commit to being our best selves in the year to come.
The entire month of Elul is a month of reflection, preparation, and repentance. This year, our Shabbat services during Elul will focus on our distinctly “Isaiah” Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur experiences. Each Shabbat service in Elul is centered on one High Holy Day theme (t’ki’ah, t’shuvah, zichronot, tikun) and features the melodies, harmonies and sounds of the Chagim, including the call of the shofar. Join us for these special Shabbat services in Elul!
