THE ONLINE BAR/BAT MITZVAH DATE BOOKING PROCESS FOR JULY 2023 THROUGH JUNE 2024 IS NOW CLOSED.
JULY 2023 TO JUNE 2024
Date Selection Form:Â Please indicate four Bar/Bat Mitzvah date choices by order preference from the list. A Bar/Bat Mitzvah date cannot be requested to take place more than 30 days before your child’s thirteenth birthday.
The Bar/Bat Mitzvah calendar fills up quickly, and date requests are processed in the order received. We strongly suggest you fill out the date selection form as soon as possible. We expect to fill most available dates on the Bar/Bat Mitzvah calendar between July 2023 and June 2024.
If your children are twins, triplets or siblings who will be sharing their service, you will need to complete one form for each child.
Morning or Afternoon Service:Â There are slight differences between the morning and afternoon services.
• The morning service runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• The afternoon service runs from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

It is extremely challenging to change a Bar/Bat Mitzvah date once it is established. We encourage you to carefully consider any variables that may affect your date selection before requesting your dates.
Some things to consider are:
• Bar/Bat Mitzvah dates that friends will be choosing
• Jewish and secular holidays
• School trips, exams, vacations, camp
• Family obligations and other lifecycle events
• Guests who need to travel
Keep in mind that your child will have intensive study and preparation for their simcha beginning six months before the ceremony.
Payment and Date Confirmation: Date requests are confirmed when accompanied by payment in full or if a payment plan has been made with our executive director. No dates can be confirmed prior to payment.
We will confirm a selected date by email after the date-booking process is complete. Please be patient; this takes several weeks. We will confirm all Bar/Bat Mitzvah scheduled dates at the same time.
Clergy Officiation Requests: It is not always possible to confirm specific clergy for your child’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah service, as the clergy schedule changes often due to congregational needs. Please share any requests with Julie Moldo and we will do our best to accommodate.
