Friday, January 17 | Temple Isaiah Sanctuary

Join us for a Shabbat evening celebration to kick off Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. We welcome the clergy, choir and congregants from First AME Church in Los Angeles. Members of Ha’Sharim, our Adult Choir, will join with the FAME Unity Choir. All are welcome to join for this beloved Isaiah annual tradition.

Friday Night Speaker Series: Dr. Brenda Stevenson on Race in America

Join us for a dinner and discussion with Dr. Brenda Stevenson, the Nickoll Family Endowed Chair and professor of History and African American Studies at UCLA, about race in America.

In February of 1960, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke in our sanctuary at Temple Isaiah. Our nation commemorates Dr. King's birthday, and we hope to honor his work and his legacy by sharing the newly restored recording and transcript of his speech to Temple Isaiah. Click Here

Parent’s Choice Award-winning Jewish kiddie-rock sensation ShirLaLa joins our Isaiah Community for an interactive and engaging Shabbat experience. Blending words, story, and song, Shira will create a rich experience for children and adults alike to celebrate the gift of Shabbat.
