SUMMARY:Protecting Israeli Democracy: A Conversation with Joe Goldman of the New Israel Fund
DESCRIPTION:As Israel prepares for consequential national elections this fall\, what is happening beyond the headlines to strengthen democracy\, protect vulnerable communities\, and shape the country’s future? Join Joe Goldman\, New Israel Fund’s Regional Director for Southern California\, for an inside look at the work of Israeli organizations responding to some of the country’s most pressing challenges—from combating settler violence and preserving democratic institutions to promoting free and fair elections\, Jewish-Arab partnership\, and civic engagement. Together we’ll explore how Israelis are working to build a more just\, secure\, and democratic society\, and what gives hope for the future during a pivotal moment in Israel’s history. \nSupplemental resources: We invite you to explore two additional PDFs offering background and context for the conversation: nonpartisan election strategy and combating settler violence
