DESCRIPTION:Join members of Temple Isaiah and IKAR’s Adventure Circle for a moderate 5-mile round trip hike on the Brentwood Mountaingate Canyonback Trail to the historic Nike Missile Site\, led by Jeff Zimerman. This moderate 5-mile round trip hike with 400 ft of elevation boasts stunning views of the ocean\, downtown and the valley.  At the halfway point under a wooden picnic gazebo we will have lunch. Leashed  Dogs are welcome. Restrooms and a water fountain are at the halfway point\, but not at the trailhead. \n  \nDIRECTIONS/PARKING: 2354 Canyonback Rd\, Los Angeles\, CA 90049. \nhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/xrwUSMjniBdtyedD7 \nFrom WLA: 405 Fwy North to Getty Center Drive. Turn Left and go North on Sepulveda Blvd.  Turn left onto \nMountaingate Dr. Take to the very top and turn right on Canyonback Road. Located between the \nGetty & Skirball Museums. Plenty of free street parking available. \n\nWHAT TO BRING: Water (one liter minimum)\, Hat\, Sunscreen\, Sunglasses\, and your Lunch/Energy Bars/Trail Mix. \nHiking boots or trail running shoes are highly recommended.
