Retelling the Story of the Exodus – in Song
Passover is just around the corner. As we do each year, soon we will all be sitting around Seder tables, retelling the story of the Exodus. The students in Rina’s 6th grade class took the dictum “In every generation each person should feel as though he or she personally had gone forth from Egypt” both seriously and light-heartedly. In the serious portion of their studies, the kids took a Torah challenge and looked up the details of the Exodus story by finding the details in the Torah. The lighthearted part took them all the way to Josh Mason-Barkin’s office to serenade him with songs they wrote about Pesach and freedom!
