For the past two weeks, Andrew’s third grade class has learned all about the holiday of Rosh Hashana. They learned all about the shofar, and they wanted to let you know how much they really LOVE the sounds it makes! Click to see the video.
This week Rina’s 6th grade took a virtual trip to Tel Aviv. The kids were jazzed to see videos of Tel Aviv and realize what a truly vibrant city it is!
On Sunday, Aliza’s second grade class learned about Rosh Hashanah by blowing the shofar (themselves!) and eating traditional Rosh Hashanah foods, apples dipped in honey.

It’s been an amazing first week here at Temple Isaiah Religious School. Sunday and Tuesday we kicked off our school year for our K-6 kids, and also began our amazing new seventh grade program. Our opening days were filled with singing, smiling, and lots of ruach (spirit).
This year, our sixth grade students aren’t just learning about Israel, but they’re engaging with Israeli culture, Israeli society, and with some of the challenges faced by the Jewish state. We call it an “Israel encounter.”
