Every Friday, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., we will hold a virtual space with camp-inspired activities including a song session, followed by chuggim (electives) for Grades K - 5, or weekly group challenges for our Grades 6-8 JCITs (Jr. Counselor-In-Training). All chuggim will be led by teens in Isaiah Temple Youth, who double as Rishonim and Camp Isaiah summer counselors: Ella, Hallie, Hannah, Lindsay, Mateen, Sarah, Sasha. The chuggim will include art, science, dance, and acting. The primary interest is for K-12 students to have a place to gather socially, not on mute, while having a camp-inspired activity to keep hands, feet, and brains engaged. The items in the Camp-In-A-Box will correlate with the activities in Friday Gatherings, but are not required to purchase.
Friday Gatherings are free and do not require advance registration.
Join Victor Gold and Joel Levine for a special virtual edition of Men's Torah Study: What You Do Not Know About the Book of Deuteronomy.
After the success of our first virtual challah bake, where over FIFTY Isaians came together over Zoom, we have decided to continue the blessings and host more sessions! Please join us this Friday for a Temple Isaiah Virtual Challah Bake led by our very own Challah Experts - Tamar Andrews and Avital Etehad! They will guide us through the preparation, offer some teachings and lead us in the prayer for separating the dough. You will be emailed an ingredient list and link to the Zoom Gathering upon RSVP.
We will gather to do our part to fight voter suppression in America. Myrna Perez, the Director of Voting Rights and Elections at the Brennan Center for Justice, will kick off our event. The Brennan Center is a nonpartisan public policy and law institute that works to reform, revitalize, and defend our country’s system of democracy and justice.
Our postcards will be sent to people in states with the most restrictive voting laws, to people who may have been de-registered without their knowledge, older people of color who are often overlooked, and registered voters who did not vote in the last election. We will be encouraging them all to vote in November.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
